How to find a copy of my WCB Alberta premium rate statement?
Every year around the end of November to mid-December, the WCB Alberta premium rate statement is released. This document tells employers in Alberta who have a registered WCB account, how much they will pay for WCB coverage the next year.
Depending on your company, the increase to your WCB rates could cost you a lot of money. For those industries that rely on low WCB premiums to bid work, a surcharge can devastate profits while a discount can put you in position to get a great contract.
Do I need special permission to access my WCB Alberta Premium Rate Statement?
The Workers Compensation Board of Alberta created an online portal for employers to access various account and claim related reports. They call it “myWCB.”
To get a copy of your WCB premium rate statement you will need to have an account with “mywcb” or know someone in your company that has access to your company “mywcb” account.
Without your own “myWCB” account, you may need to speak with the person in your organization that does have access to pull the reports for you.
If you’d like your own account, you will need to sign up using the link below.

Depending on your company and the size, your WCB Alberta Premium Rate statement may look different.
This is ok.
What’s important once you have this premium rate statement is what to do with it and who to involve. Realistically, you want to include anyone in senior management or ownership. They need to know what is going on in their company and where costs are going.
You want to include the person that’s also managing WCB claims for your company internally. (If it’s not you.) They need to be able to read these reports and identify ways to improve the organization from a WCB claims management perspective.
If you’re having difficulty understanding or making sense of your WCB premium rate statement you can look to download our FREE eBook by clicking here.
